The Umbrella Network is pleased to announce another competition for the community, this time for the developers out there looking to showcase Umbrella’s SDKs.

The prize pool will be 10,000 UMB tokens for First, Second and Third prize.

  • 6,000 UMB tokens to 1st Place
  • 3,000 UMB tokens to the Runner-up
  • 1,000 UMB tokens to 3rd Place

How to Participate in the Umbrella Network Developer Challenge?

Step 1: Join the Umbrella Network Discord server

Step 2: Check out our Reference App — Babel (on GitHub) | Token/Smart Contracts | Developer Documentation

Step 3: Check out our decentralized oracles and our SDKs for reference

Step 4: Build a DeFi application using a combination of the above two steps and your creative bent

Step 5: Once done, submit your finished DeFi app by

1) tweeting that you are participating in the Umbrella Network Developer’s Challenge and tagging @umbnetwork and

2) you submit the required information on our form here

Step 6: If you’re overflowing with ideas, simply build more apps and submit them to stand a chance to win more prizes

Step 7: Wait for us to evaluate the submissions and declare the finalists. Check out our Telegram, Discord and Twitter channels for updates and winner announcements

Rules For Participating in the Umbrella Network Community Challenge

  • Do not steal other people’s work — duhh!
  • You must submit your DeFi app in by 14th April 2021(Last Submission Date)
  • Your DeFi app should call at least one of our decentralized oracles
  • Your DeFi app should leverage more than one functionality of our SDK (the more the better, all is simply amazing)

Rewards For Winning the Umbrella Network Community Challenge

1st Prize: 6,000 UMB

2nd Prize: 3,000 UMB

3rd Prize: 1,000 UMB

Mega Prize: The most resourceful DeFi app submission (the one that utilizes our oracles and the SDKs most comprehensively) will replace Babel as our default reference app.

Final Notes

  • If you have any further questions and doubts, join our discord server and ask them on the #developer-challenge channel
  • Winners’ tokens shall be transferred to their ERC20 wallets as provided by them in the form.
